The below parameters are built up within the menu of SET PARALLEL PORT DL20.
HI TRUE LOGIC?
Selecting Y (yes) for PLC-2/PLC-5 means that the DL20 is supposing the parallel inputs to be ON or high when logic 1 is corresponded to.
Selecting N (no) indicates that the DL20 is expecting the parallel inputs to be OFF or low when logic 1 is corresponded to.
BINARY MSG DATA?
Selecting Y (yes) for PLC-5 indicates that the DL20 will suppose message activates in a format of binary. The format of binary works well with the PLC-5.
Selecting N (no) for PLC-2 indicates that the DL20 will suppose message activates in a format of BCD. The format of BCD works well with the PLC-2.
BINARY VAR DATA?
Selecting Y (yes) for PLC-5 indicates that the DL20 will suppose data variable to be strobed in a format of binary.
Selecting N (no) for PLC-2 indicates that the DL20 will suppose data variable to be strobed in a format of BCD.
TIME SAMPLE?
Selecting Y (yes) for PLC-2/PLC-5 indicates that all data of parallel port will be tested automatically at a rate decided by the SCAN TIME. If DC operation of parallel port was chosen the customer is also prompted for DEBOUNCE TIME.
Selecting N (no) indicates that the customer desires to utilize the ETS (edge triggered strobe) input to strobe all data into the parallel port. The client is after that limited to an interface of DC voltage and have to select “low to high” or “high to low” edge sensing for the input of ETS. The lines of ETS the DL20 are supplied for use with other producers of programmable controllers having output modules with lines of strobe.
USE NG 1/2 SER A,B?
Selecting Y (yes) indicates that a Parallel Input Converter is being used. TIME DRIVEN have to have been chosen previously.
Selecting No (no) for PLC-2/PLC-5 indicates that an interface of DC parallel or Parallel Input Converter is being used.
SCAN RATE:
If mode of TIME DRIVEN was chosen previously, after that the value go into corresponds to the period between the parallel port samplings. The value keyed in is in units of 1.95 milliseconds.
DEBOUNCE TIME:
Enter 1 for PLC-2/PLC-5. Not applicable for applications which using Parallel Input Converters. The debounce time is 1.95 milliseconds. Debounce time decides how many samples are appraised during the period of sampling as decided by the scan rate chosen.
