The Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway is the Windows application used by System Integrators and Utilities as an OPC Client/Server, Data Concentrator, or Protocol Translator. It supports the DNP3, Modbus, and IECs protocols. It is also can be functioned as the Translation to other protocols such as SNMP by combining the SDG with another OPC Client/Server.
Up until this review, the current release of SCADA Data Gateway is the V3.03.849 and provides lots of new features within this new version. The new features will be explained in the end section of this review. The SDG latest evaluation version can be downloaded from the Triangle MicroWorks website for free.
The host computer at least has these minimum requirements: 1.5 GHz processor (recommended is 2.4 GHz multi-core processor), 1 GB of RAM (recommended using 4GB RAM), Windows XP SP3, and Microsoft. NET 4.0 Frameworks

The Complete Overview of SCADA Data Gateway
The SCADA Data Gateway (SDG) is a Windows™ application used by System Integrators and Utilities to collect data from OPC, IEC 60870-6 (TASE.2/ICCP), IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5, DNP3, or Modbus Server/Slave devices and then supplies this data to other control systems supporting OPC, IEC 60870-6 (TASE.2/ICCP) Client, IEC 60870-5, DNP3, and/or Modbus Client/Master communication protocols.The Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway Features
The Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway has epcific features to support its function as below:- SCADA Data Gateway (SDG) supports mixed channel types, Multidrop connections as well as multiple channels that utilize the same or different protocols.
- The built-in diagnostic display provides status information and error counts that are exposed through OPC and can be mapped to a status point in the other protocols. Again, the separate diagnostics are available for the entire SDG and for each channel, session and sector.
- Mapping Information Display gives benefit to the automatic map to the SDG’s OPC Server. Other mappings are assigned using simple drag and drop operations. Points may be mapped from Master to Slave, Master to Master, or Slave to Slave components.
The Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway System Requirements
The Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway is only support for the following Windows operating systems:- Windows Server 2003;
- Windows Server 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit);
- Windows Server 2012 (64-bit);
- Windows XP Service Pack 3 (or later);
