In accordance to the title above, the compact remote terminal units have fixed configuration and minimal installation space demand. Whole system is installed in plastic box for DIN rail mounting and internal architecture has partly modular character. Therefore, users have many options for communication interfaces and types of analog inputs which can be done in production process. From the user's perspective, the compact and modular RTUs have the same software base and the user interface is exactly the same and compatible. The only difference is in the number of individual interfaces that are available for the user.

Basic types of compact ELVAC RTUs based on measuring and protective functions

RTU7.4 for implementation in the distributional transformer stations

The unit is for 12 analog inputs for current measurements 20 DI, 5 DO and communication module with 3 optional communication interface including GSM/GPRS, Serial, and LAN. The unit is very suitable for implementation in the distributional transformer stations on medium voltage to control four outlets from one unit.

RTU7K for adding measuring and protective functions

This unit has 3-phases measurement for voltage and current, 20 DI, 5 Do and communication module with 3 optional communication interfaces including GSM/GPRS, Serial, and LAN to use in the application for over-head power lines and renewable energy resources control. The unit is also applicable for adding measuring and protective functions into the existing remote control.

RTU7KL for the renewable energy sources control application

This unit has the similar basic features with RTU7K with the strengthened for measuring up to 5A. The typical function is to the renewable energy sources control.

RTU7K VHD

This unit is the clone of RTU7K with the additional features adjusted for using in the areas of water, gas and thermal management.

RTU7C for solutions to connect some devices without proper communication into a SCADA system

This latest type of ELVAL’s compact RTUs is the smallest version of the rest mentioned RTUs. It is equipped with 2 or 3 communication interfaces, 4xDI and 4xDO. This type is very suitable for solutions to connect some devices without proper communication into a SCADA system or for a general control or anything and anywhere via LAN, GSM/GPRS or serial line.
