The ultrasonic sensor is capable to detect liquid or solid targets as set on target. Available two choices of this sensor, a standard diffuse mode with digital output. Proximity-Style Ultrasonic Sensors features 3-wire operation, 18-30V DC, 3-conductor connection, metal sensing, nonmetal solid sensing, and liquid sensing capability.


  5. Allen Bradley’s 873M for General Purpose Ultrasonic Sensors
  6. This type of sensors work based on the sound waves to detect solid or liquid objects/targets. Therefore, this type of sensor is very suitable for application that faced with photoelectric sensors. General Purpose Ultrasonic Sensors feature sensing range from 30 – 800 mm with straight or right-angle threaded 18mm housing.


  7. Allen Bradley’s 873P for Analog or Discrete Output Ultrasonic Sensors
  8. The analog or discrete output ultrasonic sensors aimed to solve the problem when effective anymore to use. It can be the answer for sensing targets which involving detections like clear, shiny or non-reflective targets. This type of sensors offers the simple push-button setup as well as a wider range of operation voltages. Beneficial features from this type of sensor are including synchronization on select models to prevent crosstalk, four output models, and pushbutton teach process with multiple LED indicators.  The analog or discrete output ultrasonic sensors can reach distance up to 6 meters (about 19.6 ft).
